Ubisoft Montreal’s next-generation action game Assassin’s CreedTM redefines the genre. Assassin’s Creed merges technology, game design, theme, and emotions into a world where you incite chaos and become a vulnerable but powerful agent of change, in contrast to other games that claim to be next-generation with impressive graphics and physics. It takes place in 1191 AD. The Holy Land is being destroyed by the Third Crusade. By suppressing both sides of the conflict, you, Altair, intend to put an end to hostilities. Your actions have the potential to wreak havoc on the immediate environment, and your very existence will have an impact on the events transpiring at this crucial juncture in history.
