The game takes the players on an exciting journey through a dark and terrifying reimagining of New York’s Central Park, where Carnby must uncover the truth about a sinister plot. Alone in the Dark will be broken up into several distinct episodes, taking cues from popular action TV dramas’ formats. The structure of Alone in the Dark draws you into a world that delivers an experience that is fiercely gripping and terrifying, with approximately 30-40 minutes of gameplay in each episode. To quickly re-immerse the player in the story and eliminate the need to remember where they were or what they were doing, each episode will begin with a video summary of the previous episode each time the player launches a saved game. Players can expect a tense cliffhanger at the end of each episode, and if they exit the game, a video teaser for the next episode will play to keep them interested. In a highly detailed, free-roaming environment with a combination of real-time physics and full environmental interaction, Alone in the Dark will offer a comprehensive, next-generation, action-packed experience.
