A Shot in the Dark is a choice-driven adult 3D visual novel that intertwines romance, drama, and a dark, psychological mystery. Can you start over, or will your past catch up to you? In this male-protagonist dating sim, you take on the role of a young man who wants to start over in college. Any chance of a normal semester disappears when a sorority girl goes missing. Will you be able to unravel her disappearance’s mystery before it’s too late? Choose with care. There is neither good nor bad. No one “happy path” exists. Your choices may have an impact on the story that lasts beyond the final chapter. You will eventually arrive at one of the many possible endings thanks to the numerous story paths, each of which has its own joys and tragedies. Each of the ten main love interests has its own story and represents a variety of body types, personalities, and skin tones. How each relationship develops, whether through passionate encounters or dramatic confrontations, will be determined by your choices. The mystery is in the story, not the gameplay, and all of the lewd scenes are optional. For maximum replayability, you will always know what aspects of the game your choices affect. There is no grinding or minigames that get old. The goal of every mechanic is to accelerate rather than halt the story.
