Game Overview
Ikai is a psychological horror first-person shooter that takes its inspiration from Japanese folklore. Immerse yourself in the superstitions of the past as a result of a one-of-a-kind narrative and exploration as you take on the defining yokais of the horror. Ikai is a classic psychological horror film because the main character is helpless and unable to fight the evil creatures. However, by forcing the player to confront the threats face-to-face rather than evading or attacking, it creates a fresh sense of horror. Every game mechanic aims to intensify this relatable sense of helplessness and create a tension. Ikai’s slow, precise, and natural movements as a means of interaction help people become immersed in its strange world. Fear and hysteria have swept through the village, even among the most skeptical residents. This time, it’s not just a matter of gossip. The blood-stained leaves suggest that evil beings are getting closer to people. A new demon is said to have appeared in the underworld. When it finds what it is looking for, it will cross the doorway into our world. In such a scenario, the priest must leave the shrine in the care of his niece, the priestess, and travel to the village.
