Game Overview
You are a detective who takes some time off from the precinct to go to your deceased father’s cabin in the woods of northern Sweden, where he left you a note. Your German shorthaired pointer dog, “Speck,” is with you on your journey. You discover a wide variety of strange old books in the cabin, which appears to have been left in the same condition as your father left it. They tell of a mythical creature that the native people believed was responsible for protecting the land in an ancient legend. Additionally, you discover a collection of your father’s notes. However, not everything is as it seems. You set out to investigate, determined to determine what caused your father to spend his final months in isolation in the cabin. The open-world wilderness of northern Sweden is the setting for MRD, a first- and third-person action, exploration, and horror hybrid. You must achieve your objective and learn what took place with your father:
- Look for clues in notes
- Explore key areas
- Use the help of your dog to get past obstacles
- Find weapons to defend yourself against the dangers of the wild
