Game Overview
a Metroidvania-style BMX-powered pixel art game based on the movie Turbo Kid. You take on the role of a lone warrior on a quest to cross a Wasteland full of crooks and creeps, which you’ll have to pass through literally to survive.
You can now bike your way through the world for the first time in a Metroidvania (do not investigate this). We present to you, ladies and gentlemen, the pinnacle of human-powered transportation technology: the bike for all terrains! At any time, all you need to do is press a button on your reliable BMX. Gain bonuses by speeding around the map, gaining access to new areas, launching it at enemies, and performing sick bike tricks.
Use the obligatory machete to stab and slash your foes, or shoot them with the Kid’s Turbo GloveTM, which is jam-packed with mayhem. Utilize the variety of weapons at your disposal to slash, rip apart, or explode enemies into hysterical and over-the-top splashes of gore! Some examples include the Turbo Blast and electric shocks.
After the movie ends, our story starts right away. In this touching and hilarious story, which was written in collaboration with the movie’s creators, you’ll meet weirdos, oddballs, friends, foes, and people in between. They’ll give you advice, take you on quests, fights, and a lot of jokes. You can play through the game multiple times with different paths and outcomes by exploring the various zones and defeating bosses in the order you choose, making choices that will affect the story’s direction.
All of the dialogue can be skipped if you don’t care about the story and are only interested in the gameplay (speedrun fans, we’re thinking of you). If you don’t want to interact with any of the cutscenes, you can simply ignore them.
