The player’s progress will be hampered by monster battles triggered by Battle Squares and bosses erected by Monokuma. Ability Squares award Ability Sections, which award characters new abilities. In addition, players will need to buy armor and weapons from shops and treasure chests and use cards with useful effects to their advantage.
