It will eat your heart and bury its nose in your ribs. It is the year 1899. Oswald Mandus, a powerful industrialist, wakes up in his bed with a fever and nightmares about a sinister engine. He wakes up in a nightmare, haunted by visions of a disastrous expedition to Mexico, broken on the failing dreams of an industrial utopia, plagued by guilt and tropical disease. The house is quiet, the ground underneath him shaking at the desire of some time bomb: all he knows is that his youngsters are in grave risk, and it really depends on him to save them.
