Game Overview
The bionically enhanced Nathan “R.A.D.” Spencer returns in Bionic Commando, the first genuine sequel to the classic 1988 Nintendo Entertainment System original. Spencer has not been well-treated by time: He has been betrayed by the government he swore to serve, imprisoned for crimes he did not commit, and given the death penalty five years after his heroic defeat of the Imperials. Terrorists detonate a massive experimental weapon in Ascension City on the day Spencer is executed, triggering a powerful earthquake that has destroyed the city and killed its inhabitants. The FSA are left with only one choice: a behind-the-scenes assault, with the city’s air defense grid now under the control of a massive terrorist organization whose objective is unknown. A Bionic Commando would do well in this position. The beloved swing-and-shoot gameplay of the 8-bit original is brought to life in Bionic Commando in a stunning 3D environment filled with towering buildings, suspended roadways and monorails, deep canyons, and sheer rock faces. You can get through these areas by swinging, scaling, climbing, and wall-walking.
