Game Overview
Henri hears a sudden, loud noise in the small town of Dim River in the middle of the night. His front door is now effectively blocked by an odd metal cabinet that fell through the ceiling from the apartment above. Despite Henri’s efforts to find a solution to his problem—perhaps not entirely on his own—the town’s nightlife continues. Instead of constantly shocking the player with cheap and unnecessary jump scares, Blank Frame focuses on atmosphere and story. The night is going to be long and strange. The primary audience for Blank Frame is those who enjoy slow-motion surreal/psychological horror games and movies. The game is designed to be played entirely in one sitting and will take the average player between one and two hours to complete on their first attempt. Depending on how you progress through the game, there are two possible outcomes. The gameplay is a dark and psychological hybrid of point-and-click and walking simulators. In this game, however, it is possible to perish. Death does not feel cheap because chances to die are rare and relatively easy to avoid.
