Game Overview
Arata Mizunashi, a computer game software engineer, gets a warning from an email shipped off him by Shina Ninomiya, a partner of his who disappeared almost one year prior. Together, they attempted to make World’s Odyssey (W.O.D.), a vivid virtual scene controlled by stunning, cutting edge innovation. That is, until Shina’s unexpected vanishing put a quick stop to creation. Arata discovers the shocking fact that Shina Ninomiya was always trapped inside of “W.O.D.” Arata realizes that Shina is the only player in his abandoned game when he rushes back into the lines of code that have been haunting it. The game is now plagued by bugs and Arata is the only active player. Soon, Arata discovers that Shina can’t be taken out of the game by an evil force. Her main way out? She must finish the game to get the perfect ending, which has a one percent chance of happening. They encounter a slew of NPC characters on their journey that blur perceptions of humanity and artificial intelligence technology. This sets in motion an exciting story that raises questions about the differences between the virtual and real worlds. Much to their dismay what abhorrences look for them on the two sides of the screen.
