Game Overview

Two students were trapped and exposed at Greenwood High School, a remote mountain school. The place they used to know has changed in strange ways and is now haunted by evil beings. They must investigate the enigmatic campus full of ominous objects and puzzles in order to escape. How will they survive in this constantly perilous setting? Could they survive their journey to safety? Detention was a story-driven atmospheric horror that incorporated East Asian elements rarely found in games. It was set in a fictional Taiwan during the 1960s when martial law was in effect. The game uses local Taiwanese cultural references to tell a unique and terrifying story, including Taoism, Buddhism, and Chinese mythology. In this atmospheric horror side-scrolling 2D side-scrolling game, players control the main characters as they explore a high school where evil has taken over. In the otherworldly rooms, you are to locate objects with which to interact while hiding from the rampaging monsters. And the ghastly past of a cursed school will finally come to light as more mysteries are solved.
