Game Overview

In the most recent installment of the series, DYNASTY WARRIORS 9, you can experience the adrenaline rush of one versus thousands in a brand-new open world setting! A New Open World Warriors Game With the introduction of an open world format for diverse progression through the game, the vast land of China is displayed on a single map for the first time in the series. The exhilarating action of “one vs. thousands” from the Warriors series and the well-known characters from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms tale are still present, but a brand-new Warriors experience is provided by the freedom through an open world stage. The player character’s story is developed through Key Missions, which are supplemented by Regular Missions, which have an impact on the Key Missions, and requests from other characters. Depending on the missions chosen, the situation will constantly shift. Players can use a variety of strategies and tactics in the many battles that take place on the map, such as “attacking head on,” “launching a surprise attack from an elevated position,” or “infiltrating at night,” to enjoy the vast Three Kingdoms world in a variety of ways. A Redefined Action System The new State Combo System builds on the base Warriors’ action system by reacting to the conditions around it. The three fundamental components are: Flow Attacks, which alter depending on the state of an enemy; Attacks that react quickly to new circumstances and “Trigger Attacks,” which alter the state of an enemy. Players are able to take advantage of the surrounding terrain and environment thanks to the addition of Interactive Action. In addition to swimming across rivers and climbing mountains, new actions for more expansive strategic gameplay include using grappling hooks to scale walls and shooting fire arrows into oil barrels to cause explosions. “The epic tales from the Three Kingdoms told through the eyes of new and returning officers” Get a sense of the story of the Three Kingdoms as told by a large number of different people. For a total of 90 playable characters, seven new officers—Cao Xiu, Man Chong, Xun You, Cheng Pu, Xu Sheng, Zhou Cang, and Xin Xianying—have been added. With new outfits, all 83 officers from the Dynasty Warriors series return.
