It’s easy to turn your back on your wounds, but surely there must be a better way? everlasting flowers® is the first book in a series of “cinematic novels” about two girls named Mina and Ran and the struggles and development they go through as they try to find their own way in life.
Sakashita Mina attends a well-known all-girls high school in a new town. She quickly withdraws from the class of young, wealthy women, realizing that she will never make friends. She has barely left her room in the year that has passed.
Time elapses gradually, every day a stifling forever. Mina would try to convince herself that this was the only place she belonged in the world by gazing at the dried flowers in her room.
Seino Ran grew up in a wealthy household and has followed in her parents’ footsteps. That is, up until the point where she realizes that no one really cares about her. In light of that, her blissful life starts to self-destruct.
These conditions lead the two young ladies to go after a live-in position at a shoreline stop. Here they meet, and the two young ladies wind up spending the mid year together and mending their injured hearts. They never imagined that they would ever again meet someone they could rely on.
Mina begins to wish she could stay there forever as she spends her days with Ran and the lodge’s owners, Yanase Michiko and Naruse Himari. However, Mina is confronted with the facts by Tachibana Sanami, Ran’s friend; it is high time she confronts her issues.
Mina is absolutely certain that no one likes her. She avoids school, speaking her mind, and everyone she once considered friends. She also does not want to return to that room and revert to her previous self, despite the fact that confronting those issues will be difficult.
Mina is frantically looking for a place where she can feel like she belongs as the time they have left at the lodge decreases. Regarding Ran, a new type of visual novel known as a cinematic novel is based on the following ideas:
