“FATAL FRAME / ZERO PROJECT: To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the horror-adventure series FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO, the game “Maiden of Black Water” is available for the first time on Steam. In the past, Mt. Hikami was regarded as a spiritual site. It is said to have been the site of numerous gruesome incidents and enigmatic phenomena, and it was home to a distinct religion founded on the beliefs and practices of worshipping water as a deity. The three main characters, Yuri Kozukata, Miu Hinasaki, and Ren Hojo, explore the ominous Mt. Hikami, a place where many people came to die, and the secrets it hides in this mysterious and intertwined tale. To explore Mt. Hikami and the numerous occurrences that have occurred there in the past, players make use of the special camera known as Camera Obscura, which is capable of repelling vengeful ghosts and sealing away their powers. Each mission in the story is led by a different protagonist, and the story is broken up into separate missions. The protagonists have the ability to sense the traces of memories of people who have vanished from the mountain, which is known as shadow reading. These memories take the players further along secret mountain paths, but there are evil spirits waiting for you there who want you to join them in the dead world. The only way to get rid of the spirits is to use the Camera Obscura to capture them. You can also use the Glance ability to see a spirit’s final moments after they are defeated. Camera Obscura can be used to reveal other things that cannot be seen by the human eye and assist in the recovery of lost items in addition to sealing the evil spirits that attack you. You will be able to decipher the mysteries of the sacred mountain by making use of the camera and the various abilities.
