Shadow was unfortunate to be born as the weakest incubus ever. In Lugrand, a war between succubi and incubi has been raging for years. Shadow escapes when the succubi surprise attack and capture or kill nearly the entire incubus population thanks to a mysterious power he discovered. However, since he’s the most fragile, it’s concluded that he wants to prepare against people prior to taking on the succubi. He teleports to Ardia, a different world where he might meet some allies and gain experience. The problem is that he is so weak as an incubus that he runs the risk of being defeated even by humans. Explore Ardia and get stronger before going back to Lugrand to resist the succubi and their army and launch a counterattack! Learn how to handle both yourself and your adversaries in a lot of fights. You’re frail, however that doesn’t mean you’re weak! You must use different skills depending on your current foe’s tendencies to control the ebb and flow of the battle to win. Battles are more like conversations than combat. Choose your battles based on your strengths at the moment, and overcome every obstacle. You will face a lot of enemies, but the three main cities and the wilderness areas of Ardia have a lot of weaker targets. Your newly awakened power doesn’t make it hard to lose, but it might be hard to actually defeat the enemy. Before returning to Alvarez to take on the succubi, fight as many people as you can and get stronger! Headed straight toward becoming more grounded, you’ll confront many named people and succubi the same. Each has a unique story to tell and will attempt to take advantage of your weaknesses in various ways. And in the event that you fail, you can always try again! If you don’t get too used to it, you might start to like it.
