Game Overview
The first D: Canopy created the 3D street racing game Mountain Vengeance, which was released by ValuSoft exclusively for the PC in North America on February 24, 2004. A computer game transformation of the manga and anime series Starting D, Mountain Retaliation is remarkable both for being the just non-arcade game in the series delivered beyond Japan and for being the main game in the series created by a non-Japanese studio. It borrows a lot from the Tokyopop anime dub, like changing the names of some of the characters and switching the series’ standard eurobeat soundtrack for rap and hip-hop.
