Game Overview
Your rules, your world! You play as a Latin field agent and expert in regime change in Just Cause, working with a top-secret US government agency to overthrow San Esperito’s corrupt government. It is your responsibility to eliminate the threat to world peace posed by the rogue South American state that is believed to have weapons of mass destruction stored there. The fact that the tropical paradise is about to collapse as competing factions vie for power could work to your advantage; all it needs is a gentle push in the right direction. Just Cause gives you the freedom to approach your assignments in any way you want: playing the island’s factions against each other, causing the populace to rebel, and forming alliances with rebel forces and drug cartels are all examples of this. The action takes place on more than 250,000 acres of mountains, jungles, beaches, cities, and villages in a highly detailed game world. You will have access to one of the most varied and exciting fleets of vehicles ever seen in a video game, allowing you to explore the island by land, sea, and air.
