Game Overview
Men in Arms: Censured Legends recounts the narrative of one of the notorious Soviet punitive brigades during the WWII. The formation of these battalions under Stalin’s “No step back!” directive is well-known. order #227. They were officers who had been sentenced to a court martial and were given the opportunity to pay for their crimes or incompetence by serving as the lowest enlisted rank in a battalion that was given the most dangerous tasks. The images of these battalions are surrounded by a lot of myths; however, this game tells the truth about these regiments based on actual information provided by former members. During the majority of the war on the Eastern front, assume command of one of these notorious companies and lead it to victory against all odds. Take on from frantic conflicts in 1942 in the space of Volyn in the Ukraine, to the monstrous activity “Bagration” in the Brest region, Magnush bridgehead and Warsaw region in Poland lastly to assaults on the German Altdam and Stettin close to the furthest limit of the conflict.
