Created by a team including former HITMAN and PAYDAY designers, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is a tactical adventure game that combines XCOM’s turn-based combat with real-time stealth, set once again in a post-human world affected by nature. And by mutants. Of course the world will end. It was only a matter of time. Extreme climate change, a global economic crisis, a deadly pandemic, and rising tensions between old and new superpowers. For the first time since 1945, nuclear weapons are used in armed conflict. Before the dust settled, mushroom clouds rose from east to west. Now it is over, and the earth is silent. Nature has invaded the ruined city. The wind blows through the vacant lots that have become graveyards. The people are all gone. Mutants, deformed humanoids and animals, scavenge the remains of civilization, searching for salvation or just food. To survive, you and your companions must go out and explore the Zone. Perhaps one day you will find the legendary Eden, the oasis of the ancients in the middle of Hell. There the truth awaits, the tale says. Maybe you will find the answers there.
