This is the ultimate collection! The weapon-based fighting game series that swept the globe began in 1993, and now it is ready to be brought home in a new stellar collection! There are six NEOGEO games and one enigmatic game that has not yet been released! Online Battle Modes, a Museum Mode, and a Music Player are all available in each game. Every SAMURAI SHODOWN fan in the world should have this collection! The first SAMURAI SHODOWN was released in 1993 on the NEOGEO, and the second SAMURAI SHODOWN was released in 1994. With the release of SAMURAI SHODOWN III in 1995, the series became a trilogy. Soon after, in 1996, the movie SAMURAI SHODOWN IV AMAKUSA’S REVENGE came out. The series returned in 2003 with SAMURAI SHODOWN V, and the following year, SAMURAI SHODOWN V SPECIAL was released on the NEOGEO. The new SAMURAI SHODOWN NEOGEO COLLECTION also includes a title that has never been released to the general public. The enigmatic final version of SAMURAI SHODOWN V SPECIAL is called SAMURAI SHODOWN V PERFECT. For each title in the collection, players can choose between the Japanese or English MVS arcade versions. Additional features include save functions, scanlines, and an arcade mode that can be set to FREE MODE, eliminating game overs.
