Game Overview

Stronghold HD, the original castle sim, lets you design, construct, and destroy historical castles. In one of two single-player campaigns or online with up to eight players, engage in medieval warfare against the AI. It is up to you to reunite medieval England and reclaim your lands from the perilous Rat, Pig, Snake, and Wolf, with 21 missions that will put your skills to the test and four renegade lords you must defeat. The missions range from raising gold and preventing enemy attacks to breaking sieges and capturing enemy castles. A full economic campaign is also included, requiring players to gather resources and construct weapons within the allotted time. With the new high-resolution graphics, you can exert more control over your army than ever before! You can zoom out and play in real time with the new HD battlefield view, which puts the entire map on one screen. You can either advance on the castle gates while flanking the enemy from behind, pretend to retreat, and guide them into a lethal trap, or you can simply stand back and watch the devastation unfold.
