Game Overview
SymbioPhobiA is a short survival horror game that is played mostly from an isometric perspective. It is set in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic bunker with an oppressive, claustrophobic atmosphere and combines action, exploration, puzzles, and platforming. The game is about three to four hours long, and we wanted to focus more on the gameplay than the story in the first chapter. We will be able to finish the story with the three parts it was intended to be in if this game receives enough support to continue developing the remaining two chapters and improve the current one.
You are sent from Colony 9 to Colony 7, with which you have lost contact, in a dystopian future where people live in bunkers to survive outside radiation. Your mission is to obtain information and samples from a genetic experiment that would enable humans to survive outside radiation. In this first part you enter Settlement 7 through the water treatment plant region and your objective is to arrive at the support region and assemble data.
Mostly from a top-down perspective, but closer than usual, you must explore dark and cramped environments without maps. A fixed camera will replace the normal camera in some places. You must solve puzzles, push or drag objects, climb, jump, and run to progress. Even if you think you will have killed them with the next shot, you won’t be able to avoid enemies that can catch you off guard in the oddest places. To assist you on your experience, you with canning gather medkits and ammunition. You’ll have to look for keys, enact switches, and quest for data to advance through the experience. You currently have your starting weapon and a second weapon that you will need to unlock.

- And be careful, because you may get an unexpected scare.
- The protagonist is a young girl with an exotic figure.
- Several types of bipedal enemies differed mainly between mutated humans and Marauders, of which the latter were stronger, faster and more intelligent.
- You will have to face some final boss.
