Game Overview

The Alien Cube is the spiritual successor to The Land of Pain, a Lovecraftian first-person horror adventure. You play as Arthur, a lonely man whose life is about to change a lot when strange things start happening after learning about your Uncle Edgar’s disappearance. A terrible secret, a dark and occult reality in which your uncle appeared to have played an important role, is concealed by the world around you. You will need to set out on a journey to discover the truth and survive the dreadful visions that are afflicting you. You get out of bed covered in sweat: You’ve been having nightmares once more. It all seemed so real: the strange cave, the occult symbols, the site of a ritual, and that strange cube-shaped whispering artifact falling from the sky. However, now that you are awake, the actual reality strikes like a bucket of icy water: the move, the breakup with Jenny, your uncle Edgar’s enigmatic disappearance, and the unexpected sound of the doorbell: It is a letter from your uncle, a testament leaving you his apartment and instructing you to dispose of all of his manuscripts. It’s time to finally visit that location and try to uncover some clues. What you aren’t aware of yet is that this investigation will lead to a series of horrifying revelations, secrets that ought to remain hidden for all time, and the realization of your worst nightmares.
