The Closets: 1998 is a psychological survival horror first-person found footage game about a young teen who accidentally falls into the depths of The Backrooms in 1998. You are not the only one who can roam freely, mark, explore, and attempt to unravel the story. If you shout, it will hear you. Be careful; if you step on glass, it will hear your footsteps. It might hear you if you knock over things. Every action has repercussions. Find items, tools, and supplies to aid in your escape. You can use tools like a spray gun to mark your route so you don’t get lost in The Backrooms. Sometimes the shadows you see are not shadows at all. You might find someone or something lurking there with you. Use your stamina sparingly and only when absolutely necessary. If you notice anything unusual, it’s a good idea to hide in lockers, under tables, or crawl spaces.
