Game Overview
The psychological horror game The Dark Occult keeps players in a state of constant anxiety that builds to pure panic and terror. The setting of the game is a decaying manor inhabited by demons and strong ties to the occult. You’ll run into horrifying creatures that could kill you at any time. Survive is your sole objective. The Dark Occult begins with players exploring what appears to be an abandoned house that is infested with demonic activity. Players are sent to the Atkinson House to look into strange things that happened after the owner died. Players discover upon entering the house that they are unable to leave and are haunted by an incessant demonic woman who is out to kill them. Satanic antiques should be annihilated to get by. The woman is always lurking, so players must be extremely aware of every move and turn. The Dark Occult fully immerses players in an atmosphere of fear, panic, and real-world consequences that leave lasting scars. The game’s Gothic setting, detailed graphics, and perfectly timed audio all serve as environmental tools that inspire fear and panic in the player. There are many instances in the game where players’ eyes will mislead them into thinking there is a creature at the end of the hallway when, in fact, it is just a side table full of items.
