Game Overview
The Hike is a first-person horror/survival game in which you must survive the horrors that begin while you are on a simple hike through Red River National Park investigating a cryptic emergency message. You are not a fighter, so your chances of returning to society are entirely dependent on your legs and flashlight. A riot breaks out at the US Army-run Red River Mental Hospital somewhere in the Red River National Park, and the facility is broken into. A mysterious emergency message is broadcast by a local Ranger Station long after the “patients” broke out. John Lake, a seasoned hiker, makes the irrational decision to go investigate for himself in what should be an easy hike after hearing the enigmatic emergency message. When he gets there, he realizes that he made a big mistake. He found out the hard way what really happened, and his only hope of getting back into society is a flashlight and his legs. Features
