Game Overview
The Second Step: The First Interviews is a first-person puzzle game that follows three characters as they attempt to flee their enigmatic captors in a secret, faraway location. Three people awake in adjacent cells with little recollection of how they got there. A speaker mounted on the wall emits a voice. Welcome to your trial! The only objective is to escape or die. Stephen Parfitt, a college professor and author who is beginning to give up on life in an ever-changing world, Benjamin Clarke, an alcoholic whose life was turned upside down by the death of his wife in a horrific car accident, and Samantha Blake, a distraught mother who lost her child during complex brain surgery, are the characters in this story. Each searching for the answers, redemption, and tranquility they so desire, three strangers are forced to collaborate in order to survive captivity. Can you solve the mystery of why you are in captivity, and most importantly, can you get out of this perilous and sinister experience? Remember: Nobody is secure. There is nothing as it appears.
