Game Overview
Humanity has populated the entire galaxy since 2194. In the vast expanses of space, crime became increasingly difficult to control as our existence grew. Laws became more stringent as a result. A growing police force was bolstered by government efforts to resolve the issue, and over many years, law enforcement’s reach expanded and became more aggressive. Simply wanting to feel safe, the general population became more accepting, and the first fully commercially run prison systems emerged. In 2290, nearly a century later, imprisonment is commonplace. A great divide exists between the concept of a prisoner and a person as a result of the blind trust that has been placed in the commercial justice system, which has resulted in everyday people spending years in jail for even the most minor offenses. Businesses in the law enforcement sector and hundreds of commercial prisons thrive. An auction system emerged as a result of the devaluation of prisoner lives and the massive overcrowding of prisons, allowing anyone to purchase prisoners for any purpose without fear of legal repercussions. You are being transferred to the Kohate testing facilities to study because you were included in the most recent bulk order of prisoners for BioMass Labs. The specifics of the research are unknown. After being black-bagged and loaded onto a transport shuttle, you are awaiting your release to the business by law enforcement.
