Game Overview
The game begins with a recap of the Venom storyline and Peter Parker’s first fight with Venom before he vanished. The fight started on a rainy high school football field and moved to the middle of a street, where Venom is believed to have been killed by a downed, live power line from Peter’s perspective. The player of Ultimate Spider-Man can explore Manhattan and Queens in a free-roaming city environment. The game automatically switches between Spider-Man and Venom when you start in story mode. Spider-Man moves by swinging his web and uses acrobatic attacks to attack. Venom moves by pulling himself along with his tentacles and jumping a lot. Venom uses his tentacles and claws to attack. Venom can also “eat” people and throw cars at targets in much more brutal attacks. However, like in its predecessor, Spider-Man 2, the player must swing by shooting a web at a real building.
