Game Overview
Virtua Cop 2 adds more levels, missions, enemies, weapons, and three crime zones to the highly successful light gun-based cops-and-robbers shooter that was released for the Saturn. Virtua Cop 2, an on-rails shooter, consists of three stages: Railline Shootout, Save the Mayor, and Big Chase Banks, city chases, hotels, apartments, ports, luxury liners, trains, subways, warehouses, and other locations are used in conflicts. The stage selection screen lets you play levels in any order you want, and after the first part of each stage, there are two paths you can choose from. A variety of bad guys are armed with machine guns, missile launchers, axes, knives, pistols, grenades, and other weapons. Each stage will end with a boss, which consists mostly of enemies that can fly (with jetpacks) and use plasma and missiles to attack. Players can acquire new weapons such as rifles, automatics, machine guns, magnums, shotguns, and additional lives by shooting various power-ups. The player will lose a life if they shoot a hostage. Audio modes and tests, controller settings, difficulty selection, gun looseness, selectable lives from one to nine, continues from infinite to nine, and light gun calibration are all options. Light guns and standard control pads work with Virtua Cop 2.
