Chaos Gate is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and follows Captain Kruger’s Ultramarine army as he tries to rescue the Concordat Chaosium, a pre-Horus heresy artifact, from Chaos Lord Zymran’s forces. You must lead a powerful company through campaign scenarios and skirmishes to defeat the Chaos forces and complete objectives to get closer to acquiring the artifact and defeating the heretics. The game is a turn-based strategy game with RPG elements. Between missions, you can completely customize your army and increase it to ensure strategic superiority. You can fully customize your squads down to the last marine with the power of a Space Marine company, ensuring that only the Emperor’s best are participating in the conflict. However, be aware that any losses sustained during a mission cannot be recouped; consequently, you must carefully select which missions merit your efforts. Chaos Gate, SSI’s second entry into the Warhammer 40,000 universe, combines the strategic depth of an SSI game with the lore of the 40,000 universe to produce an engaging experience that further celebrates the Emperor and the Adeptus Astartes’ Legacy.
